BN have launched 3 new and exciting ranges for 2012

Motion Collection

Taking into account the ever growing popularity of retro themes BN have created the Motion Range.
Using spirals, twisting lines and multifaceted shapes reinforced by reflective metal pigments and bright bold colours they have produced vivid and dynamic designs.

Glamorous Collection

The Glamorous Range focus' on elegant timeless designs with a mirthful look of embroidery and an element of brocante. Using a palette of blues greys and pastels with shiny patterns against matt backgrounds you can easily create a combination of a daring patterned feature wall with toned down walls.

Elements Collection

Panoramic Wallpaper by Elitis

Panoramic design wallpaper is where a photographic image is used as one whole centrepiece, rather than a designed, repeated pattern.

A lot of people might be hesitant to use such statement wallaper in their homes, some might find it too personal or that it could be difficult to match and work with furniture, fabrics, etc.

Elitis have designed a number of panoramic, or, panoramique, wallpapers for their Memoires collection. All designed in such a way that they are striking and individual, yet practical and not over the top in such a way that they would be easy to work with.

The most striking piece would have to be Memoires - King, an image of a lion, accompanied with a range of tribal and contemporary images and patterns, almost as a border. The colouring is deep and moody and could easily be used in a home; living or bedroom. The lion is definitely a centrepiece, eye-catching image, but the colouring and images throughout the rest of the wallpaper have been tied in nicely to make it not too overpowering.

We have just received some interesting new fabrics from French company Bisson Bruneel.

Some of the ranges are reminiscent of Dominique Kieffer using high quality natural fibres but they also have some unique editions including striking embroidered fabrics.

BN have launched some new Residential Wallcoverings collections recently (which we have in store and available right now), one of which is "The Gardens of Amsterdam". This is the second collection by Annet Van Egmond for BN International. Take a look at the film to view the story behind the designs.

Other new collections include "Chacran", "Stylestatment","Colourline" and a remodelled "Brocante" with alternative colours and new designs consisting of Stripes, Plains, Damask, Floral and Decorative patterns.

Their new books offer a good selection of Curtain and Upholstery fabrics retailing from € 25 to € 55 per metre and are viewable in the shop.

   The long established (1886) US Wallcovering company is now represented in Ireland by Jacinta Edge-Moody.
We now have the new Artisan, Residence & Toile Portfolio Books in stock. The latter 2 books also have complementary fabrics. The former includes designs by The Alpha Workshops which trains and employs people living with HIV/AIDS in the decorative arts.
    The new ranges include some new takes on classic designs which have become hard to find in Europe such as a nice dark blue Damask. Also included are some recoloured toiles which woud suit a modern interior.
   Dublin in the 1750's was a hotbed of innovation and 7 years before Arthur Guinness produced a now world wide brand, Francis Nixon developed the first Toile 'The miller, his wife and his ass' at his works in Drumcondra. 259 years later the toile designs are still perennial favorites.
   Some of you will remember the 'Irish Volunteer Toile' produced by Guy Evans of Tissunique in the 70's and which is now a collectors item.
We also have samples of the Charles Burger Toile de Joey collection including Les Pechures ( 1780) featuring a ruin after the style of Hubert Robert ( 1783-1808) and Ballon de Gonesse (1784) celebrating the balloon trips of the year before by the Robert brothers and M Charles.
