Lucan Fabrics: The Gathering Collections.

Last week the latest books from Lucan Fabrics arrived to our store so we now have The Gathering I and II for you all to have a look through.

Lucan fabrics is an Irish company formed from Hill and Sons based in Lucan which was one of the longest running mills in the country, originally producing tweeds for clothing and advancing into spinning yarns for carpets and manufacturing fabrics for huge contract applications. One of their largest projects was to weave the fabrics that were to cover the whole of the Aer Lingus fleet. Today Lucan Fabrics is based in Glasnevin and supplies materials to designers, architects, upholsterers and curtain makers. Fabrics from their warehouse are both Irish made and imported.

Both "The Gathering" Collection I and Collection II contain many of the same designs. The main difference is that Collection I consists of cool colourways such as grey, teal, and stone whereas Collection II is much warmer with colours such as cherry, honey, and gold featuring.

Here are a few of the designs that have attracted customers' attention.

"Peggy" in Aqua

"Joy Floral" in Blue & Cherry

"Trinity" in Duckegg

If you would like to order any of the Lucan fabrics, please contact the Interior Designers at Martin - Hudson & Gibson of Sandycove, Co. Dublin. We would love to assist you in your selection.
